About Me

When I was a child, my parents gave me their old Nikon EM 35mm film camera that I used to take photos of family members and random things around the house.

Fast forward to early 2016, when my long-term relationship ended. I started going for meandering walks around San Francisco to take my mind off things. I'd look at the map, pick a random neighborhood, and go there. Eventually, I walked every street in San Francisco, using my iPhone to take photos of the journey.

As a third-generation San Franciscan, I thought I knew the city like the back of my hand. I was wrong. During these walks, I realized I had so much more to discover. And while I'd always enjoyed taking photos, it didn't take me long to realize that I had a passion for photography AND San Francisco.

I decided to create an Instagram account to share my San Francisco photos with the world. That led to a number of opportunities, and eventually, I decided to step away from my non-photography career to pursue my passion full-time. I didn't have a plan, but I knew I wanted to give it a go. I told myself I'd give it a year, and if I couldn't figure out a way to make a career of it, I'd return to my old line of work.

Ultimately, I did photography full-time for three years before I eventually decided to return to my non-photography career. And, in 2022, I decided to step away from Instagram.

But one thing that hasn't changed: my passion for photographing San Francisco. I continue photographing this beautiful city at every opportunity. Each day I recognize how incredibly fortunate I am to call San Francisco home.

Thank you for being a part of my photographic journey.
